AIC π-Hub signed MoU with Ujjain Engineering College
Ujjain, September 16, 2025: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AIC RRCAT PI-Hub Foundation (AIC π-Hub), hosted at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore, and Ujjain Engineering College at the seminar hall of the Government Engineering College, Ujjain. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in innovation, research, and startup ecosystem development. The MoU documents were exchanged by Dr. C. P. Paul, Senior Scientist, RRCAT, and Dr. Umesh Pendharkar, Principal of Ujjain Engineering College.
On this occasion, Dr. Paul delivered a motivational lecture, encouraging students to harness advanced technologies to contribute to the vision of a developed India. He highlighted the Department of Atomic Energy’s technology applications across diverse sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, industry, transportation, defense, and supply chain management. Emphasizing the societal impact of frontier technologies, Dr. Paul explained how lasers, 3D printing, isotopes, and cryogenics can be translated for public welfare beyond nuclear and defense applications. He also shared examples of the Department’s contributions in food and agricultural advancements, including modification of pulses, fruits, vegetables, and grains.
The program was organized by Dr. Apratul Chandra Shukla under the GECU Samvad student chapter and the MANTR initiative of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Shri Prasad Dange coordinated the session, while Dean (Academics) Dr. Sunil Punjabi delivered the welcome address. In his presidential remarks, Principal Dr. Pendharkar encouraged students to leverage RRCAT’s technology, skills, and laboratories, while noting that the MoU would facilitate internships, projects, and startup initiatives. Dr. Lokendra Singh Thakur delivered the Vote of Thanks. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of about 150 students from Ujjain Engineering College.
From AIC π-Hub, Dr. Anurag S. D. Rai, CEO; Ms. Priyanka Thakur, Office Executive; and Ms. Palak Gilke, Assistant Office Executive were present. Few officials from RRCAT including Mr. C S Mandloi also joined the proceedings. The program was coordinated by student Satya Prakash Tiwari along with members of the GECU Samvad student chapter.
