Spandan – Nurturing Young Minds Workshop at Medicaps University

Indore, October 15, 2025: AIC RRCAT PI-Hub Foundation (AIC π-Hub) in collaboration with MII Foundation and Medi-Caps University, Indore, organized an interactive workshop under its flagship outreach initiative, “SPANDAN – Nurturing Young Minds.” The session aimed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork among students, inspiring them toward innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 230 students and faculty members, creating an engaging atmosphere that blended conceptual learning with real-world entrepreneurial perspectives.

The program began with a warm welcome by Mr. Ram Bansal and Ms. Khushboo Pandey from the MII Foundation team. The session saw vibrant participation from students eager to understand the world of startups and innovation. The distinguished speaker for the session was Dr. C. P. Paul, Director, AIC π-Hub, RRCAT, Indore, who was accompanied by Dr. Anurag S. D. Rai, CEO, AIC π-Hub; Ms. Palak Gilke, Office Assistant (Accounts), AIC π-Hub; and Mr. Bhupendra Bakawale, Multi-tasking Staff from the AIC π-Hub team.

In his thought-provoking address on “Why Entrepreneurship?”, Dr. Paul emphasized the importance of innovation-led ventures in shaping a developed and self-reliant India. He guided the participants through various aspects of entrepreneurship, including the entrepreneurial process, stages of startup growth, and the essential mindset required to translate ideas into impactful ventures. He explained the difference between science and engineering, highlighting creativity as a key driver of applied innovation. Using the “Blind Men and the Elephant” fable, he illustrated the importance of teamwork, perspective, and collaboration in solving complex problems. Dr. Paul also discussed the personal characteristics of successful entrepreneurs such as resilience, curiosity, and adaptability, and differentiated between traditional family-run businesses and modern startups that leverage technology and innovation for scalability.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round where students enthusiastically engaged with the speakers, sharing their thoughts and clarifying doubts related to innovation, incubation, and startup opportunities. The workshop inspired over 230 students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path, enhanced their critical and creative thinking, and strengthened their understanding of the innovation ecosystem and startup dynamics. It encouraged them to take their first steps toward becoming future innovators and changemakers.
